Catalogue production

This project involved taking catalogue data held in QuarkXPress, extracting it and populating a FileMaker Pro database.

The Quark documents had been built some time before by the client. Using rules that the data followed, such as style sheet names, type of data and construction of paragraphs, the data was extracted from several thousand pages, spread over numerous documents. This data was then manipulated and used to populate a FileMaker Pro database ready for the user to edit, and as necessary, flow back into future catalogues.
